Time for some Baseball!

Kenny's basketball season just ended and baseball season has already started.  This year his team is the Astros and he will have the same coach as last year and daddy will be the assistant coach again.  Daddy has said that Kenny has had great practices and is the best batter in the team.  I am super excited about baseball season this year!

Happy Birthday Kenny Ray!!!!

On this beautiful day, I want to wish my Kenny Ray a very sweet and happy 8th birthday. I know it's such a cliche to say, but whoa, how time flies! I still remember when this picture was taken like as if it was just yesterday. Everyone trying everything we could to get you to wake up, sweet sleepy baby. You finally blinked you eyes for just a second, picture was snapped, and you went straight back to sleep. You were perfect from day one, but we won't mention how day two played out in the baby nursery, lol! I love you more than words could ever express!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY my smart, funny, handsome little man!

Cake anyone? LOL!

So while Kenny was opening presents, I was trying so hard to cut into that ice cream cake.  At one point, things got a little slippery and a slice of cake flew up in the air, but I managed to catch it before it hit the floor.  So my floor was safe, but obviously I wasn't so lucky.  I loved it though, because Kenny got a kick out of his mommy being the goofball that got cake all over her, lol!

Springbreak 2012

So, for Spring Break we went to see Granny Richardson in Mineral Wells.  While we were there, we went to Lego Land and when we got back to Granny's some of their cousins were there.  Kenny enjoyed playing with Kaylee and Brooke, Kristian loved playing with Sydney, and Kameron wanted to keep up with Micah so bad.  I wish I would've taken pics of the kiddos, but when I packed my camera, I packed the wrong charger.





We also had a good time hanging out at home....getting to stay up late, sleeping in, and playing hard during the day.

We went to the movies to see the Lorax, which we all really enjoyed.  It had a great message and was emotionally engaging, so much so that Kristian (3 yrs old) cried real tears when the last Truffula trees was cut down.

                                                   

We also had a small Lego birthday party for Kenny at the house. We had a reallly nice Spring Break.

LEGOLAND!!!!

So for Kenny's 8th Birthday, we (and my we, I mean he) decided to go to Lego Land instead of having a big party.  I had my first panick attack the day we were leaving, because the tickets were selling out quick and I couldn't get all three tickets on the same time slot.  I finally ordered them for different times and when we got there they didn't even bother checking so, we were all allowed to go in at the same time. 

 My second panick attack was when I noticed that my camera battery was very low.  Usually that's not a problem because I always bring the charger and find any outlet to plug it into.  WRONG!!!  I packed the wrong charger.  I almost teared up because I really wanted to take good pics for Kenny to show friends and family.  I had to get over it and just take as many pics as I could with my camera and then use daddy's phone for the rest of the day.

Overall, all my boys had a great time and we ended the day by going to the Lego Shop.  Now, time to start planning a small family gathering this Sunday for Kenny's actual birthday!
